Austell. The robin hood of the group. Nate funnily enough mimics him in book 3.


His arc is very separate from Jane's goal but Austell helps flesh out Etin City. Being the first big location that Jane's group stays the longest, learning more about people and the city itself was needed to care more about it at the end of book 4.


He helps shows the world doesn't center around Jane's group. His arc was a also a bit of a breather before the massive climax of book 2 and book 3.


Is is funny to think how massively important he becomes much later on despite starting as a more surplus character.
